The Odds Were Zero. The Fight Was Real
My story starts where most hope ends. I grew up in a caravan site, and later, we became the only Ethiopian family in a rough neighborhood in Acre. We were the only Black faces in a place ruled by poverty, violence, and crime. I was raised without a father, by a disabled mother fighting for survival, while watching my older brother lose his battle with the streets and drugs. The world labeled me "At-Risk." The system saw another inevitable failure.
But the battle didn't end when I put on a uniform. After fighting my way to become a Combat Officer in the IDF, I was released into a new reality with zero safety net. I had no high school diploma (Bagrut). No money. No connections. While serving intense reserve duty to defend my country, I had to fight a second war: the war for my future. I started from scratch, bridging impossible educational gaps with sheer grit.
I refused to be a victim. That relentless drive took me from the edge of the abyss to graduating with honors from the government’s elite "Cadets for Municipal Leadership" program and earning an MBA.
Today, as a Social Entrepreneur and CEO of Worko Group, I don’t just share a story. I share a blueprint for rewriting destiny.
